Default How fast do you farm Signed Skulls

I just want to determine if I can make inporvements for farming skulls.

I know, I know the collector may not collect skulls. But what the heck. I got nothing to loose.

I farm outside Nolani Acedemy. I only kill the first two small grps of Gargoyles on my way up the stairs to the big group of gargoyles. I run this in about 4 minutes and get 3-8 skulls. I have been able to get a little more the 1 skull every minute. If I farm for an hour it usually get about 70 skulls.

How fast do you do it? I am just curious if I am farming at a slow pace.

EDIT-
I use posion with cyclone axe. i aggro the monsters into a tight group hit posion then I run into the group with cyclone axe. You should see all the 100+ damage numbers come up. Its fun!

Hi ! I used to farm mergoils last Xmas and I brought 4-5 skulls per run (6-7 min/run). There was a pretty good rendement I think

I'm not sure you are only curious ...
Last year at Xmas season , collectors were trading items for gargoils skulls.
I think you are farming skulls to make stocks before and accumulate loads of Candy Canes ^^
I am looking for a great place to farm low levels mergoils or charrs to get candy canes too because last year there was a trader for skulls and one for charrs idols, so if it is the same this year , you should farm somewhere with many charrs/mergoills ! ( I think Nolani mission for charrs , and out of Nolani for mergoils)
Good Luck

ps : don't take care of the possibles mistakes that I maybe wrote, I'm not English fluent speaker .

I am only curious. But I am farming the skulls for the winter day event. I am just curious to know if I am not being as efficient as I could be in my farming. I am farming skulls because I want the spiked eggnog for my drunk title. I still have 700+ CC's from last year. The necromancers took skulls which was the easiest and one for one trade to farm. Last year you couldn't get spiked eggnog with charr carvings and necklaces or orr emblames. Thats why I am farming skulls.

I agree. I've been keeping a few stacks of whatever I happened to build up a quantity of, with no regard for what was tradeable for what last year.

And in other news, they've announced that this year's candy canes will come in two colors, neither of which is the same as last year's. (If I read it correctly.) So maybe the price of our hoards WON'T plummet.

Oh well. I sold off less than 10% of mine in anticipation of a price crash; I'd rather have been wrong than right.

And I didn't actually sell them; I TRADED them for minipets. IF pets continue their price crash AND candy canes hold their value, I overpaid, but so what? I like my pet collection.

Anyhow, I didn't time it, but I think it took me a few minutes to kill the main group with my nuking build, especially until I figured out to ALWAYS target the Resurrects first.

What kind of thing you should kill also depends on what profession you are. E.g., my nuker and MM just SLAUGHTER mergoyles, while warriors and other meleers might find them slower going due to the water hex snares.

The best place for christmas farming is imho outside of Bergen Hot Springs
You're invincible as a 55hp and you do 100damage because SoJ causes holy damage. I get like 20 Orr Emblems, gold dead bows drop (not max but 20/20 was already in), a bit gold and a few runes (I got two major vigor already) in a around 10minutes run. Just run from Bergen to the cursed lands and back, fast and profitable.

That's the mob with the ghouls, it's most profitable.

Tengu farming works perfect as a Dervish, you can easliy take two mobs.

Charr farming is much faster then Gargoyle farming. Even though you only need 1 Singed Gargoyle Skull compared to 3 Charr Carvings. Try Nolani Acedemy with some AoE damage Can't go wrong there.

For farming the gargoyles the fastest thing ive every done was as a minion master. Deathly swarm should kill 3 instantly then just raise bone fiends and they kill garygoyles in about 2 hits and you can easily build and sustain 10 of them and run into a huge mob and watch the bodies hit the floor.

Yeah. If Nolani is the place again this year I'm likely to try that.

i do this farming run almost every day. i have done about 100-200 runs here. so far have gotten about 750 orr emblems, a black dye, bout 2000 bones, 750 dust, countless bow/axe mods, several gold/purp runes, countless blue runes, and many many k in regular drops. its one of the most easiest most profitable places to farm i think.

I farm orr emblems in gates of kryta mission. go in solo as a wammo. Cyclone/Triple chop + judges insight. Add in a customized axe with 14/15^50 and 20% deathbane(20% vs undead)... im hitting for 250+ dmg from +55% damage from mods, and double damage from holy, along with 20% penetration...

Mending + balths spirit is for health/energy.

Different collectors will collect different Items. One collector may accept carr cavings and a different collector will accept signed skulls. They will exchange the items they collect for candy canes or other Chirstmas items

Everyone has thier own farm which works fastest for them. but, skulls outside Nolani Acendemy are the best. Not because you can yeild more skulls per run or farm them faster but because they trade for a 1 to 1 swap. Orrs traded for a 3 - 1 swap. Meaning you trade 3 orrs or 3 carvings for one candy cane or what ever you want that the collecter trades as oppesed to trading 1 skull for 1 candy cane. You would have to farm orrs or carvings at a rate or 3 times faster then farming 1 skull in order to be as productive with your farming.
